Your licence

It is the email address you bought with. There is no key to keep safe and no account to sign into — which is also why there is nothing here to lose.

Activating a Mac

  1. 1. Open Tessa, then Settings → About → Licence.
  2. 2. Enter the address you paid with. A code arrives in a few seconds.
  3. 3. Type the code in. That Mac is licensed.

The code only works on the Mac that asked for it, so forwarding the email will not help. On a second Mac, ask for a fresh one there.

I lost my licence key

There isn’t one. If you bought Tessa before and cannot remember which address you used, your card statement and Stripe receipt both show it. Enter that address in the licence pane and a code comes to it.

Replacing or selling a Mac

A licence covers two Macs at a time. In the same panel, Release this Mac hands the seat back so another can take it — do that before you sell it, because it also wipes the licence locally.

The code has not arrived

Check the spam folder and the Updates tab first — a first message from a new sender often lands there. Then email support@tessa.is from the address you paid with, and we will sort it out by hand.
