These terms cover your use of Tessa, a window manager for macOS published by Proprietas Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation with its registered office at 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, New Castle County, Delaware 19713, United States (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Tessa you accept them.
The licence
A purchase grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Tessa on up to two machines at a time, for personal or business use. You may move that licence between machines by releasing a seat.
The licence covers every release of version 1. A future version 2, if one exists, is a separate product and a separate purchase. We will not remove functionality from version 1 that you paid for.
The trial
Tessa runs for fourteen days from the first time you open it, with no card and no account. The trial is tied to the machine, and a machine only gets one. When it ends, Tessa stops managing windows until a licence is entered; nothing else on your Mac is affected.
What you may not do
- Share, sell, sublicense or publish your licence key.
- Work around the licensing, or use Tessa beyond the seats you have bought.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except to the extent the law expressly permits you to despite this restriction.
If a licence is used in a way these terms forbid we may revoke it. Revocation is the only thing that stops a paid copy of Tessa from working, and we will tell you why.
Refunds
If Tessa is not for you, write to support@tessa.is within [14] days of your purchase and we will refund it. The fourteen-day trial exists so that you can find that out before paying at all.
This is in addition to, and does not affect, any statutory right to cancel that you have as a consumer.
Updates
We may release updates that change how Tessa works, and we may stop supporting versions of macOS that Apple no longer supports. Your licence keeps working on the version you have installed.
Warranty and liability
Tessa is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be free of defects or that it will suit a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes a consumer's right to bring proceedings in their own country of residence, or the protection of the mandatory consumer law that applies where they live.
